All-Gender Cabin option: The heart of Pilgrim Lodge’s mission is to create community that affirms individual sacredness. To be true to our core value of being “Open and Affirming” we will begin offering the opportunity for campers to opt-in to an All-Gender cabin in addition to maintaining the current options of girls cabins and boys cabins. Please visit our new page on Gender Inclusion Practices to learn about All-Gender cabins and how we strive to create a welcoming, safe, and affirming environment for ALL campers at Pilgrim Lodge.
Tent camping options for Adult and Family sessions: Pilgrim Lodge now has a camping area for tents near the Pilgrim Lodge labyrinth. For close-up experience with nature at camp, the option to stay in tents will be available for specified adult or family sessions. Learn more about tenting opportunities here.
Confirmation Retreat at Pilgrim Lodge: Traditionally, confirmation involves a peer group process. Many churches have a small number of people ready to engage in the confirmation process – but not enough to form a group. This overnight retreat is designed for young people to engage in the basic questions about affirming their baptism (or perhaps getting baptized). It’s an opportunity to consider important aspects of personal spirituality as well as church life: What’s the authority of the Bible. What is unique about Christianity? What does church membership involve? What is an intentional spiritual life and what is faith? If you have (or are) a young person in your church, you are welcome to attend this overnight. Ideally, each church will send at least one adult along with their person, or group. Clergy are encouraged attend as well. Head to the full page description to learn about this opportunity.
Pride Across the Ages: Pilgrim Lodge is offering a new, 3-day all ages Pride camp to welcome members of the LGBTQIA+ community and their relatives and chosen family to share in time together at Pilgrim Lodge. Campers are welcome to come as individuals (if age 18+) or with partners, spouses or families to find a safe space to be fully themselves, to explore their identity, and to share their stories….together with all the fun of camp!
