Pilgrim Lodge Summer Jobs 2007

The Pilgrim Lodge Summer Staff is an integral part of our summer program and community. The job is intense, demanding, fun, and meaningful. If you are over 18 years old (or will be by June 2007) and are interested in living in an intentional Christian community, please take a look at our staff covenant and feel free to download an application.  You must be available from June 14-August 22 although some positions may begin a few days before and last a few days after.   Everyone does everything at Pilgrim Lodge, but areas of specialization are listed below with links to job descriptions.

 Camp Photographer-

Supervisor: Assistant to the Director

 Job Description

 Take photos of events of the camp

Take photos of the site

Load photos onto the camp computer

Update website with photos of camp (at least 3 times during week)

  

Weekly

Edit photos (delete duplicates, pick best 500-600, flip, tone, etc)

Pull out staff photos into separate folders

Take group photo of camp and print (one 8x10 for everyone)

Take counselor photo and print (one 5x7 for each counselor)

Post one copy of camp photo

Archive one copy of camp and counselor photo in binder

Make photo CDs for camper

Work with store person on CD order forms

Edit photos into an approx. 400 photo slideshow

Set up and run slideshow with music for camp on Friday night

Make photo CDs for Saturday AM for those who pre-ordered

Mail photo CDs to those who ordered them on Saturday

 

  Beginning of Summer

 Create staff webpage with photos and bios of each staff member

 

 End of Summer

Create 'best of the year' slideshow with approx. 1000 of the best images of the year

Create and produce staff photo CD and slideshow

Use photos and create CD cover for staff mix

 

Community Life – (all staff members)

  • Clean Bathrooms

  • Wash Dishes

  • Empty Garbage

  • Clean camp

  • Unload trucks

  • Participate in staff activities and meetings

  • Assist campers with any and all needs

  • Assist deans and volunteer counselors with any and all needs

  • Help to build camp morale and encourage the growth of other staff members

  • Assist other staff members with their duties when needed

  • Represent Pilgrim Lodge in a professional manner consistent with its mission statement

  • sign and abide by the Pilgrim Lodge Staff Covenant

  • other duties as assigned
